AMRITSAR
The holiest place for Sikhism on earth as the home of Golden Temple, Amritsar possesses piousness in its name as well. It literally means the “Pool of Nectar”. Being the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh religion Amritsar is like Mecca for Sikhism. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal with more than 100,000 visitors on week days alone.
